Powered by our people.

Residents, Chula Vista locals, San Diegans, family members near and far. We’re all about our community here. It’s how we foster a spirit of engagement, encouraging people to get involved and find new ways to make Fredericka Manor better for those who live and work here.

Participate, volunteer, or make a donation to our retirement community.

For residents, by residents

Our communities are full of passionate people. To celebrate that, we started Shine!, a life enrichment program. It’s all about getting in touch with the unique skills of the individuals who make up our communities and giving everyone the space to be a teacher—and a student. Through this program, we invite everyone to tell us what is important and interesting to them, and then we make those experiences happen.

Volunteer

Help in Emma’s convenience store or serve on the popular Hospitality or Garden Committee.  Whatever your specialty or passion is, your assistance is greatly appreciated. Having residents as volunteers is the best way to get people engaged and ensure that Fredericka Manor stays true to the people who live here.

If you are not a resident of Fredericka Manor, but you are interested in learning more about the variety of volunteer opportunities,  please contact Rhonda Hernandez, director of life enrichment at Fredericka Manor at 619.205.4109 or via email at rhernandez2@frontporch.net.

Make a donation

Thanks to generous donors and supporters, the Front Porch Communities Foundation (FPCF), a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, helps older people flourish. Gifts to the FPCF assist residents who outlive their resources and support community improvements that enhance the quality of life. Employees also benefit through donations to the HEART Fund and Scholarship Funds. Your charitable donations through FPCF are tax-deductible as allowed by the IRS.

FPCF works with each Front Porch community, its executive director, and residents to raise funds that benefit your community.
